Focus Northwest: Visual stories from the Eastside and the Pacific Northwest by Chad Coleman
Tent City 4 moved to a new home at Lake Washington United Methodist Church in Kirkland over the weekend and I was out to see the encampment on Monday.

Above, residents repair a fence boundary around the camp. To get the high point of view I used the self-timer on my camera body and exteneded it on top of my monopod at arms length above my head.

Above, TC4 residents Andy, foreground, and Nate, background, work to secure a tarp cover over a ten from the wind. I covered TC4 previously during their stay on Mercer Island, so was familiar with the workings of the camp. Out of respect to the residents and camp rules I always ask the people for permission to photograph them if a face will be visible. I have gotten a range of responses, but the majority of the residents are welcoming and have shared their stories with me.
