Tent City 4 Needs Tents

I have just ordered 2 couples tents and 6 singles tents. Usually in mid-summer prices would sky rocket. We were lucky. Our supplier was very sorry he had to hold up our last order because all the Gigatents were shipped to Haiti and even more to Chili, so he gave us this order at winter prices. Little by little we are replacing the tents that only last 6 to 9 months. We received our first Gigatent right after that snowy Christmas of 2009. That tent still shows no real wear and does not leak. Its tent poles have not been effected by the heat or cold. These tents have double fold seams, thicker fabric, better UV protection, rain protection, and much better poles. Because of the shape their design allows for more useable area as well. They are worth the extra cost. The supplier “Camping Team” is a family owned business who also support the homeless in their own area. They gave us a $40 discount extra just because we help the homeless. The total cost with shipping came to $649.20. Here is the breakdown. Single tents 8X8 go for $53.38 each. Couples tents 8X10 go for $94.46 each. Shipping is $140.00.

Please consider donating money to cover these costs. You can mail a check made out to Kirkland Interfaith Network and send it to me at Sandra Hunt, 8316 NE 143rd St. Bothell, WA 98011 and I will get it to KIN. Please put Tent City Tents in the notation space. We seldom get more than we request. If that should happen the extra will be held by Kirkland Interfaith Network for the next tent order.
