Thank you for your continued support of Tent City 4. Looks like we have fulfilled the request for a coffee maker! Yea! Here is a wish list for some additional support. Donations can be dropped off at the camp anytime.
Funding for Bus Tickets
This weeks needs:
- Trash Bags (50, 33 & 13 gal)
- Microwavable: CUPS! Paper Plates & Bowls
- Hand Sanitizer
- Batteries: AAA, AA, C, D
- “Little Hotties” Hand and Toe warmers
Tent City 4 has an 80 cup coffee maker that is leaking. It isn’t a desperate situation yet, but a new coffee maker would be a blessing!
They go through a lot of coffee (for internal heating as well as caffeine) and the larger pots leave more counter space for other food items and preparing sandwiches, etc.
Please contact Elizabeth Maupin if you’d like to donate to the coffee maker fund. Pricing for a new one is between $150 – $200. email@example.com, 206 478 3899 (cell)
International Smile Power’s dental day at TC4 is this coming Sat. Nov. 19th from 9am to 4pm. The great people from International Smile Power will be providing oral exams, cleanings, fillings and other needed services to the residents of Tent City 4.
We could use a couple more drivers to transport residents to and from TC4 and the Issaquah dental office, one more hygienist and three additional dental assistants.
Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if available.

Tent City 4 returned to Issaquah on Friday, as teams started the long process to transform a church parking lot into a camp for up to 100 homeless adults.
The move to Issaquah is special for Tent City 4 resident Amalie Easter. The camp relocated on the same day as the last Issaquah High School regular season football game.
Easter’s son plays for the team, but until Tent City 4 reached Issaquah, attending the games posed a challenge.
Dear TC4 supporters: It sounds like TC4 has plenty of nails for the move, and may be okay for other supplies. Thanks!
Because the move day will be a Friday when many of the usual volunteers are at work, it will be helpful to have some extra volunteer drivers to ferry people from the old site to the new. Jan Bennett is coordinating this. Contact her at email@example.com.
We can also use some hospitality volunteers to make and serve lunch. Steve Burk is working on that — TC4meals@gmail.com.
Here is our Move Day Supplies Wish List:
Copious quantities of 33 Gal trash bags with ties (about 1200ea)
5 -5lb boxes 8 penny- 2-¼ inch nails
2-5lb boxes 16 penny 3-½ inch nails
Dear friends of Tent City 4,
The permit is signed for the October 21 to January 21 hosting of Tent City 4 at the Community Church of Issaquah. It is time to start getting organized for the move. We have the attached list of needed supplies from the camp adviser. It is best to take the supplies to TC4 at Temple B’nai Torah in Bellevue, if you can, but some members of the hosting committee will also be going over before the move from Community Church of Issaquah, if you can bring the supplies there.
A major concern of our committee is that this move will take place on a Friday. I have a prior obligation for that day and many of our usual volunteers will be at work. Your assistance in recruiting some volunteers who can help with transporting people between the sites would be much appreciated!! A few hospitality volunteers to serve coffee, cocoa, and sandwiches to the workers would also be a blessing!
If you would like to help with transportation: contact Keith Madsen at firstname.lastname@example.org, and Jan Bennett at email@example.com.
If you want to help with the move day lunch contact Steve Burk at firstname.lastname@example.org
